The last autocross of the year (well, last one I want to go to) is this Sunday and my tie rod ends are shot and my left-right hub (one of the ones I installed) is "wiggling", according to the alignment guy.
DAMN IT.
That hub can't come off again; the bolts that hold the caliper on are completely trashed. Faaaantastic.
And my dad is bitching at me to fix my ABS, which is being disabled by a random electrical gremlin that is there inconsistently and it's not reproducible, but causes inaccurate readings from both rear wheel speed sensor.
Lovely.

That sucks. Can you drive someone else's car for the last one?

Well, I really wanted to drive the 'sofa now that it has new tires, wheels, is running premium, etc.
I've actually been trying for a while asking around my friends to see if anyone had a manual they'd let me autocross, since one of the FSAE requirements is to race a manual with a guy from FSAE riding shotgun... so far only possibility is fixing the horizontal stabilizers on my mom's boyfriend's Mazda truck.

Do you know if you can get away with replacing just the outer tie rods?
How much are the components for a front suspension rebuild?

2000 LeSabre. Tie rod ends are a pretty common failure, looks like I can autocross without breaking anything. I'll have to fix the loose hub, though. It's pretty damn noticeable.
Gonna get the tie rods fixed next Friday, so that'll be fun.

I can just get the ends replaced; it's a pretty common failure on these cars. I'm getting that done next Friday, and the alignment shop tech said I'll be fine to autocross on the ones I have.
